Our Equipment Booking Models: Tailored to Your Research Needs!

Understanding that every project is unique, we offer two distinct booking and payment models:

This model allows research teams to book equipment for specific projects at a flat rate. It’s designed for projects with predictable or substantial equipment needs, offering a way to secure necessary resources in advance. The key benefit is the reservation of equipment time, ensuring availability for the project's duration.

Requirements:

  • Research Project Proposal: To book under this model, researchers must submit a brief proposal outlining the scope of their project, including objectives, expected outcomes, and timelines.
  • Funding: CALEDO must be named in the funding proposal as subcontractor. The amount to be allocated for the subcontract will be negotiated in advance.

Benefits:

  • Reserved Equipment Time: Unlike the pay-as-you-go model, this approach guarantees equipment availability for the duration of the project, crucial for meeting tight research timelines.
  • Budget Predictability: Offers a clear, upfront cost, aiding in budget management and grant proposal planning.
  • Priority Access: Projects booked under this model may receive priority over ad-hoc, pay-as-you-go requests, reducing the risk of scheduling conflicts.

This flexible model is ideal for occasional or unpredictable equipment needs. Users are charged based on actual usage, with rates determined per hour or session. Availability is based on the current booking schedule, catering to users with more flexible timelines.

Benefits:

  • Flexibility: Users can book equipment as needed without committing to a flat rate, ideal for short-term or less intensive projects.
  • Cost Efficiency: Pay only for the time used, minimizing expenses for projects with limited equipment needs.
